Auto body repair & detailing: After Market Car Doors?, gmc yukon, gm trucks

Question
Hi John,
Greetings from Ft Worth, Texas. I just bought a 95 GMC Yukon . It's in OK shape overall but the left front door is beatup. I am considering replacing it with an aftermarket product. Will an aftermarket door fit decently. Will it be unreasonably difficult for me to teardown my current door and buildup the aftermarket shell (after it's painted of coarse). Last, how do you adjust the Yukon door in the chassis. I do not see any bolts on the hinges like Fords and other cars.
      Thanks for your time!

Answer
1st things 1st. aftermarket parts:they are diff. they must make something diff about them they are not aloud to make to o.e.m. specs could be a handle hole i little lower a hinge a little higher and so on and on if you get a aftermarket part ask if its CAPA approved this means it is as close to oem as poss and is approved by the ins companys.

2nd sorry the hinghs are all welded on on all gm trucks and they SUCK. there are no adjustments for them . when you get your new door go to a dealer and get a new pin and bushing kit for the truck to it will take out and dropping on it and they all where out any way...
good luck hope this helps..
