Auto body repair & detailing: worth of fixing Miata, mazda miata, bodyshops

Question
I have a 96 Mazda Miata that I love, that was recently crashed.

I need the entire left side panels replaced and the hood, and the left window, then repainting. I have a limited budget. I don't know anything about body work and am worried about being taken advantage of.

Can you give me an idea if the repairs would be more than its worth? It drives okay.

The best I can tell you is to take it to a autobody and get an estimate tell them youd like used barts or aftermarket parts to get the price down to where you can afford it. Maybe go to a few. Then after you get your prices you can decide to rebuild the car or not. Belieive or not most bodyshops are honest.
