how to replace the vent window on a 91 f150

     This vent can be installed in two ways,  Vent glass only or as the whole vent assembly.

To  replace just the vent glass alone:

Clean all glass from the trucks vent frame with a cotter pin puller or sharp screwdriver. Prime frame, install small rubber setting blocks to keep glass off metal, and shoot a small bead of urethane glue into vent groove and set in place making sure that the vent lines up with he rubber when in the closed position and makes the all important seal by the locking latch.

To replace whole vent assembly:

Remove door panel, remove two 7/16 bolts that hold the top and bottom of metal cannel. Remove all Phillip screws from top of vent on the outside door frame, roll door glass All the way down
pull top of door glass felt down to allow room to remove vent assembly.


To install:repeat above in Revere.


A word about rusted pivots. The Pivot allows the vent to swing open and closed at the top and bottom of the vent frame. When buying a used vent assembly be sure to check for rusted or broken pivots, surface rust is ok but if it looks like it is going to brake after a couple uses ask for another one.
