Car Alarms: Honda 2003 CR-V Alarm/lock malfunction, lock switch, panic button

Question
Our 2003 CR-V lock/unlock/alarm is misbehaving.
When we try to lock with the remote (battery voltage checked and both remotes are at 3.0V, both do this), all doors lock except the driver's side. This actuation seems weak to drop into the lock position. When locked with the key and then trying the remote to unlock, the others respond, but the driver's side is weak, again. Also, when inside the car, pushing this button on the door behind the driver's left arm, does not necessarily make all the other buttons lock. I'm thinking that this is local to the driver's door lock actuator or wiring. I haven't pulled the door liner off yet. The headlight-on warning works okay when  you turn off the ignition key, and that had been a problem in the past when the door open/close switch had come loose.
Also, when we lock remotely, we no longer get the horn beep that we used to. This seems to roughly coincide with the lock/unlock problem. Of course that means we have to hire a guide now to find our car in the parking lot...
The remote works fine to lock and unlock the rear window.
When I push the remote panic button, it will go off, but after a significant delay. I'm not sure it that is normal because we've never used the panic button until now.

Answer
Well, all things being equal, I'd start with getting
a junk yard replacement of the master door lock switch.
Sounds like your is failing.

If it never had troubles, but suddenly does, his usually
denotes a short or, problemed control module or switch.

As far as the delayed beep, I would consider the
after market system to be suspect, and would want to
inspect it too.

Best idea is to take it to a car alarm sop locally
for a first hand inspection and correction.

Let me know what they discover.
