Car Alarms: 06 Pathfinder auto lock mode, remote starter, latter question

I had a remote starter installed in my 06 Pathfinder SE. It works, but after the first time using it, the battery died because the lights didn't automatically shut off.  The other problem is that the doors would automatically lock when the vehicle was put into gear and then they would unlock when put it in park. It doesn't do that anymore and I can't find out why.  Went to Nissan and they told me it isn't a feature on my truck, so it shouldn't have done that.  I've had the truck for over two years and know that's how it was.  Any help would be appreciated...

You would need to talk to the installer
on this. Too many systems out there, and variables
under the dash to sit here and tell you definatively
what the trouble is, but the feature settings
on the remote starter seems to be the trouble on the latter
question, as well as the first. (this one is an anomolly
as the lights on any given remote starter, would
shut off when power is offline when at rest. Installer
needs to inspect this immediately)

Like I said, he needs to adjust the work done.

Get the wiring chart for this vehicle at www.wiringcharts.com
and give it to him when you bring it back
for him to trouble shoot it.
