QuestionMy car turned off in the middle of the highway! I believe it is the alarm. It would not start up again but the alarm kept sounding as if it were engaged. I haven't engaged the alarm for about 1 year because I lost the remote. I found it 2 weeks later and it worked. I still didn't engage it for the year but all of a sudden it was as if it engaged itself. I bought new batteries for the remote and it stays steady green. I don't want to even mention the name of the alarm so I don't get in trouble with you since you said not to ask about them but here goes. Its DEI. Now, I just want to know if I can pull a fuse to take the whole thing off. Or what wires I can cut. The key turns all the way, the lights turn on, I have electric but the alarm keeps going off. I have disconnected the sound but that is all I know how to do. I will do anything to start the car. But little money prevents me from another tow to a repair shop and the repair cost, therefore, I want to do it myself. Can you help? By the way the alternator was changed 7 months ago.
