Car Stereos: kdc mp242 kenwood xm quit working, fm radio station, original radio

I bought an new truck and the radio in it would not pick up anything so they put another radio in it and the xm quit working help.  Kenwood kdc mp242 radio

I need more information to help you with this one.  What kind of radio was replaced--factory, or after-market?  Also, what type of XM-Radio system did you have--was it a factory XM system, or an after-market tuner?  If after-market, was it a portable type?   

When you listened to XM radio on the old system, how did you select it?  Did the original radio have an XM function, or did you have to tune it in like an FM radio station?  What kind of truck do you have?

Please follow up with as many details as possible, and I'll try to help you get your XM working again if it's possible.
