to try to fix it.

Answer
Cherie,

Your problem is simple.  Your antenna is shorting out.  The fix is just a little work.  First, the antenna may have just pulled loose from the back of the radio.  If so, just plug it back in, and it should work fine.  If you find that it is still plugged in snugly, then the antenna wire has either broken or wore through somewhere.  Either way, the antenna wire will need replacing.  It is quite a challenge to pull a new antenna wire, so you may want to take it to a local stereo shop for the installation.  It should cost around $100 - $150.  Hope this helps, Scott
