Car Stereos: Radio doesnt have sound, speaker wires, car stereo

Hi, my car stereo doesn't sounds, but when I open the door I can hear it, but when I close it, it goes mute again, what could it be?

Bryan, It sounds like there is some type of short somewhere in the speaker wires.  Probably in the door that you open.  Test it by opening another door.  Does the sound come on?  If not, then the short is in the original door, and must be found and fixed before it will work properly.  If the sound comes on with the other door opening, the short could be anywhere from the radio.  It is really tough to diagnose those types of shorts.  A repair shop will probably charge $50 - $100 to fix the problem.  Hope this helps, Scott
