Car Stereos: alternator whine, engine whine, electrical wire

i just put in new speakers all around tweeters too but no amp and factory head unit when the radio is off and the lights are on the left driver side tweeter hisses from the alternator i don't know what to do any help would be appreciated thank you

Hi Jay,

Engine whine from your speakers even when the radio is off is probably due to an electrical wire which contains a large amount of electricity running through it running too close to the speaker wire.

If you had no issues before replacing the speakers, it might be a case of you not having made a clean enough connection to the spaeaker, or the negative wire to the speaker is touching the chassis and not properly grounded to the deck.
