Car Stereos: sony eplode, ground loop isolator, sony 500

Question
I have a sony 500 watt explode amp and a 12 inch sub, I have wired it myself but have noticed that at zero volume I hear a ticking sound in the rear speakers{amp driven, front is the deck no noise there}. I ran the power wire on the same side as the rca's and in some spots they are close, could this be the problem?

Hi Craig.

Yes, that might be the issue im almost positive that if you run the rcas and power wire on separate ways your problem will be solved, If for some reason you cant run them separate try getting a Ground loop isolator that will fix the problem too, its around $20.00 and you can buy it at almost any half decent car audio store.
