BMW Repair: ignition, crank angle sensor, time between the time

Question
I have a 1990 325i that runs great when it runs.  The problem is that I can be running down the road and it just stops.  Usually it will restart but lately it has been taking a longer time between the time it stops until it will start.
I recently had the ECM replaced as only 1/2 the cylinders were firing and now this has cropped up.  I think the Ignition Control Module but to date have been unable to locate the module to test it.
Any suggestions?

Answer
Gil,
Make sure to check the crank angle sensor.  It's on the passenger's side of the engine block, and reads teeth on the main pulley.

Make sure the wire is not frayed or loose.

Other than that you will have to figure this out out on your own.

 Good luck,
 Josh
