GMC Repair: 2003 GMC Sierra, gmc sierra, memory button

Question
My Sierra has memory power seats. The drivers seat would go back and then not go forward. Then after a few days of me trying to move it forward with the switch it would move forward.  Today it stopped going forward again.  It does not move forward with the switch on the side of the seat or the memory button. (I have one button set to move the seat all the way to the front.  Does the switch activate a relay or control the seat directly?  Thanks

Answer
Hi
The switch is an input to the DMSM (Drivers Memory seat module) or sometimes listed as the MSM (Memory Seat Module)located under seat cushion. The module outputs to the motors/actuators.
I have repalced both. I would HIGHLY recommend taking it to a dealership OR a repair shop that can retrieve data from the module and see if the input is recieved by module and if the module is requesting output.. There is diagnostic procedures that wherever you take it SHOULD follow so you do no waste money throwing parts at it.
PLease let me know if more helps is needed.
Follow post back, if needed.
Good Luck
