Audio Systems: how to install this ten disk changer in my 1991 buick regal, scoshe, volt operation

Question
hi I have a ninety one regal and the radio wiring is odd like its all attached, How do i go about installing this sony ten disk CD changer and keep the original stereo?

Answer
With great care and struggle.

First, have you checked teh wiring diagrams from GM?  If not, you can sometimes find them in the car books that are sold in the auto parts stores.

Or, you can check with Crutchfield.com or scoshe.com or installdr.com for wiring harnesses or adaptor kits.

But here is the fundamental step you must take:
(I am assuming this is a trunk mountedd unit? Let me know otherwise - or, better, give me the model number of the unit; there are several by Sony!)

There are two power lines; one which powers the 12 volt operation and one which switches it ON.

There is a controller that must mount somewhere or if integrated into the dash you need a scoshe kit.

The audio outputs must go back to the headend unit and plug into the aux or changer input (You must verify the original unit has aux inupt and switching to acommodate it; otherwise you have an engineering job on your hands).

So, to this point, study the comments and then come back with more questions if you need to do so.
