Audio Systems: problem with my toyota sienna factory-installed vcp entertainment system, vcr head, time victor

Question
hi victor!

i really hope you can help me.  we are so desperate!  my husband and i just purchased a 2001 toyota sienna with a factory-installed rear entertainment system (VHS), and when you turn it on, the vcr is going and the sound from the movie is piping through the radio 'sound system', but there is no picture showing up on the screen.  the message on the screen says 'vcp idle', which apparently means that there is no signal between the player and the screen.  my kids are incredibly BUMMED, as they were really looking forward to being able to watch a movie when we went and picked up the van and traveled a long way home.  i just don't know what to do.  the booklet that came with the van about the player is very skinny and says nothing about this...only that this message on the screen is a possibility...not what to do about it.  can you help me and my family?  if so, i would love you forever.  i just have no idea how to find out the information that i need to know to fix it.  thank you so much for your time, victor, and i hope you have a great night! :)

Answer
Hi!
Let's see what can we do, check behind the vcr (i guess it is under the rear seat) if all the connectors are in place, if so it may be that the VCR head has get dirty try with a head cleaner, hope it helps if not we will see what else can be done.
