Chevrolet Repair: 88 chevy k 350 tbi, throttle position sensor, noid light

Question
QUESTION: I own a 1988 pick-up with a 350 and tbi . i have smooth operation of tps (throttle position sensor)and I have good fuel psi. and i have spark. ok sometimes it runs then for no reason it dies. the last time (earlier today)it was dead. back probe the tps.its good and got power at all 4 wires at injectors and power to fuel pump and psi at throttle body and good power at the coil. I am stumped why is it not injecting? it has been happening for weeks now and sometimes it will run good for days. please any thing that might point the way I'd realy appreciate for sure!

ANSWER: You very well could have a computer problem.  ECM is the correct term.  Also if your  fuel psi is weak it would cause the fuel not to inject.

QUESTION: well i am sure that the fuel psi is good, but is it possible for the emc to go bad intermittently? (as coils do sometimes)I do not have noid lights to see if Im getting pulse from the ecm but if the ohm metor reads power at the injector...? i just dont know where to go do i try a new emc?

Answer
I had assumed you checked for pulse at the injector loom you dont need a noid light a test light would work as well. That is what you need to find out.  Yes a ecm can work intermittently.  Now when you say you have power at your coil do you mean spark or hot on the power lead.  Ifyou are losing spark and pulse you probably have a bad pick up coil.
