Chevrolet Repair: Chevy impala1996, chevy impala, radiator fan

Question
I recently purchased a chevy impala ex police car the first radiator fan works  but the second doesnt  i check the fuse boxand replace the fuse but it still doesnt work.

Answer
The second fan only comes on when the engine reaches a higher temperature. The only way you can verify operation is to disconnect the primary fan and let the engine idle until it reaches a around 220 to 230 degrees. The fan should kick on by then or before that. If the engine starts to overheat before the fan comes, then it is not operational. You'll need to diagnose that circuit.

You failed to mention if the vehicle is overheating or running too hot.
