Chrysler Repair: 2007 chrysler 300 2.7L: stalls at idle, 2007 chrysler 300, wd 40

Question
my 2007 chrysler 300 2.7 with 30,900 miles just started stalling when idiling such as sitting at red lights or stop signs the engine will just shut off it happens more often when the air condition is on i took it to the dealership they said it stalled on them but the engine light did not come on so they dont have a code to fix it they did a flash update whatever that is but it still stalls i tried fuel injector cleaner and 93 octane gas but it did help what do you think it could be maybe the egr valve

Answer
Hi Vince,
That behavior is associated with a slightly ajar egr valve. I believe there is opening in the valve assembly which give access to the valve stem, so were that the case you might try spraying some WD-40 on the stem where is enters the body of the valve. If there is a slot in the stem you could try moving it back and forth to loosen the action if it is sticking. I haven't personally handled these new valves so I can't be certain but what I have described is applicable to the older style.
