Chrysler Repair: 87 New Yorker AC, turn signals, windows, chrysler fifth ave, turn signals

Question
I have a 1987 Chrysler  fifth ave.I am having a problem with my turning lights and windows also the ac . I was told to change the relays. I was wondering how many are there and possbily if I should change all of them

Answer
Hi Rebecca,
I am not certain whether the '87 New Yorker Fifth Avenue is a front wheel drive vehicle (in which case I have the manual) or a rear wheel drive vehicle (in which case I don't have a manual). The 'Fifth Ave' part of the name is what makes me uncertain.
If it is the front wheel drive type, then there is no relay for the turn signals or the windows. The AC does have a relay for the compressor control. The windows are straight electric motor controls, and the turn signals have a flasher-blinker unit that some might call a 'relay' but that might not be the cause of their problem. So I need to know to be sure does the engine sit cross-wise or length wise in the engine compartment, and then I would need to know exactly what is the problem with each system, separately, to begin to solve it. It is not so simple as 'change the relays' in any case.
