Chrysler Repair: license plate light 2002 sebring sedan, license plate light, screwdriver

Question
We were stopped by a policeman because our license light was out.  It is not
only out but missing altogether.  We have no bulb, wires, bulb holder -
nothing - just an empty opening above the license plate.  Where do we look
for it if it has just fallen down somewhere.  I have been under the car
reaching up into the bumper found nothing and ... checked on the back wall
of  the trunk - no opening to the license plate.   Where do we get all of it if it
is not there and how do we put it back when we get it?

Answer
the light is mounted from the outside with screws. I suspect someone with a screwdriver thought he needed it more than you did. Go to the dealer and order a new one. The bulbs and sockets should have fallen back into the interior of the lid. Remove the trunk inner trim panel and you should find them there. Another way to find out is to turn your lights on at night and look into the hole, with the trunk closed. If the bulbs are in there, they should glow.
