Dodge Repair: Antenna Replacement, antenna mast, antenna base

QUESTION: I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan with the OEM radio installed.  My antenna was broken off by vandalism, and now I want to replace the antenna.  The mount is still available, but I have purchased a new antenna and need instructions on how to replace the old one.

ANTENNA MAST AND CABLE LEAD
REMOVAL
Remove glove box from instrument panel, Refer to Instrument Panel and Systems for proper procedures.
Disconnect antenna cable connector from extension cable Antenna Cable
Remove right kick trim panel.
Remove fender splash shield. Refer toBody, for Removal and Installation.
Disengage rubber grommet insulator from door hinge pillar.
Pull antenna cable through hinge pillar into open between door hinges.
Hoist and support vehicle on safety stands.
Remove front wheel, Refer to Wheel and Tries for proper procedures and tightening references.
Remove front wheelhouse splash shield, Refer to Body for proper procedures.
Remove antenna mast from antenna base Antenna Mast
Remove plastic cap from the cap nut. Using cap nut tool, remove cap nut holding antenna base to front fender Antenna Cap Nut
Remove antenna base from under front fender.
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedure. Torque antenna base retaining nut to 28 - 32 in.lbs.
