Land Rover Repair: td5 vibration, prop shaft, broken axle

Question
QUESTION: hi took your advise and ran with all wheels of the floor vibration was worse but couldn't pin down but noticed that one wheel didn't turn is it possible to lock (stop) each wheel in turn or in fact 3 wheels at a time to help pin it down don't want to risk damage to transmission so didn't try thanks

ANSWER: That wheel may have a broken axle - check carefully.  If one wheel is different from the others you need to find out why, and the answer may well be what you are seeking.

QUESTION: hi more questions i have lifted car on stands and locked each wheel in turn with all other three spinning the vibration is still there i assume i have ruled out wheels and drive shafts read in you letters from 2007 that i can lock the diff on this model and remove front prop ? any ideas would be appreciated

Answer
You said you ran it on a lift but could not pin down the vibration.  There is no other technique to reveal it, though, beyond removing and balancing wheels and checking for looseness, all of which you say you did.  With all due respect, Perhaps it's time to find a LR specialist who can hopefully sort things out.  You cannot drive a 2007 with one prop shaft removed.
