Land Rover Repair: P38 Air Suspension, piston seal, piston ring

Question
Problem with my 1996 P28 air ssension. Started getting fault problems the other week, purchased a lead an downloaded software to read. Initially reset the fault and everything worked fine for a couple of days ... then repeated. Again, I looked at the software but no fault logged on the ECU ... but the vehicle is on the bumpstops, air pump running but not pumping up at all, again with no fault on the ECU ...any thoughts?

Answer
your compressor needs a new piston seal:

The compressor faults have a time delay in them before coming up, if you let it go a while you will get the fault (eventually)
