Land Rover Repair: 2002 Discovery - Flashing green M and S dash lights, land rover dealer, t4 system

My 2002 Discovery has started to flash warning lights on the dashboard when started.  They are the green "M" and "S" lights. If you turn off the engine then restart it things return to normal. When I asked a service advisor at the local dealership he said that the battery may be ready to die. I had the battery, starter and alternator checked and everything was fine. Do you know what else these lights could be?

The dealer is right, those lights could signify a failing battery.

"Had the battery tested" is somewhat vague.  Who tested it?  The Land Rover dealer or a kid at a mass merchandiser?

The battery voltage has to be above 10.2 volts when cranking cold.

The next step would be to check with the Land Rover T4 system and see if you have stored faults.
