Land Rover Repair: key will not turn ignition, starter problem, brake switch

husband is at job site and the ignition acts like
it's locked...key will not turn.  HELP!

Hi Chris...

do you mean the key won't turn or the engine won't turn?

Take a look at the brake pedal switch and the shifter.  Make sure the vehicle is in PARK and the brake switch is not stuck.

IF the key turns but nothing happens then you have a battery or starter problem.

It's also possible that ignition switch is broken.  You could try applying a small amount of lubricant to the key and then insert and turn.
