Land Rover Repair: blue exhaust smoke, head gasket, piston rings

Question
hello,
I have a '94 disco 300 tdi, +-200 000km.
recently i changed the head gasket and since then progressively the disco start to smoke more and more blue smoke. it happens only when i put my foot on the accelerator and i can feel that there is slight delay in the force of the engine.i've been told that maybe it is the turbo (the joints on the turbo). when i did the head gasket and put turbo back in i did not put all new gaskets (on turbo). also i think the car consume some oil. now there is quite a lot of smoke and honestly i feel bad for people that stand near me when i drive past!
thank you in advance, hope you can help

Answer
Blue smoke means motor oil is getting into the engine and burning.  Either ther eis a failure in a turbo gasket, or there are valve problems in the cylinder head, or you have broken or worn piston rings in the motor.

There is also the possibility of serious fuel injector or pump trouble flooding the motor.
