Land Rover Repair: steering, steering boxes, seal kits

Question
I'am about to repair my power steering box on my TD5,is it a very
hard job to do or should i leave it to some one else.
I have the repair kit and i know a little about stripping things down
and rebuilding but do i need special tools.

By repair kit I assume you mean new seals.

We used to install seal kits but stopped doing it because the steering boxes leaked again shortly after repair.  Apparently the shafts get loose in the bearings and the seals no longer hold tight.  

It's been my experience that Land Rover steering box reseals in the field ar ejust not permananent.
