Land Rover Repair: Oxygen sensore Code1187, oxygen sensor, ohm meter

Question
We have a code "O2 sensor short upstream" that show up.  We have changed both oxygen sensor and the code still appears.  The car runs fine on the highways but seems to run rough in a low idle.  Do you have any ideas what this might be?

Answer
The codes is telling you there is a short in the wiring for the oxygen sensor heater circuit.  To solve this, use an ohm meter to measure the resistance of the heaters.  If one is indeed lower or shorted yo need to fin dout why.

You'll need the wiring diagrams to do this, and they are available at www.landrovertechinfo.com
