Lincoln/Mercury Repair: Tranny (LS)/ AC running hot, center vent, 2000 lincoln ls

2000 lincoln ls, when i accelarate between 40 and 50 mph the car "struggles" to get past 50mph. PCM reflash? also once in a while the A/C on the driver's side throws hot air from a corner of the left center vent, while the far left vent throws warm air. the rest of the vents throw slightly warmer air. any advice?

Hi Robert,

When you are heavy in the throttle, the A/C shuts down to give more power to the engine. This might be what your experiencing. Expecially on hot days like today! On May 1, 2000 a recall was initiated on 2000 LS'. Program number 00B45. This is a reflash for some perfomance issues.

On the A/C trouble, try to remember or notice I should say, when this happens most frequently. I think if it is what I think it is, the reflash should improve a number of things and this might be part of it.
