Lincoln/Mercury Repair: Lincoln Continental Spare Tire Space, temporary spare tires, lincoln continental

This isn't an engine question, but I can't find anyone else on the internet who will even allow me to ask a question other than you!  (Thank you!)
we have a 2000 Lincoln Continental that came with one of those temporary spare tires in the wheel well inside the trunk.  We want to replace this temporary tire with a real spare tire (on a new wheel).  But before we buy a new wheel and tire, we want to know if the regular size tire will fit in the well in the trunk.  We can't tell by looking at it.  Do you have any way to find the answer to this question????

I belive it will but here is what i would do go to any tire shop they can measuier  the tire comaprent and tell u for sure . i do not see any problem with it fiting . i dont like the spares they give with the new cars my self . good luck to u hun and you have a pretty name pete
