Mazda Repair: 1991 Mazda Protege DX, blown head gasket, mass airflow sensor

Question
I have a 91 Dx and had a blown head gasket. After replacing the gasket, I discovered the head was no longer serviceable, I replaced the head from a like model from the salvage yard. Now I cannot get the car to run for more than a second or two. It is in time, both valve and ignition, I can get it to run by spraying starting fluid into the intake and it runs quite well. I have also checked the injectors and they are spraying fuel. The head I replaced it with is the same BP01, it does have the markings 2/2 A and my old one has 2/1 A, does this have any relevance.

Answer
well if it's running good spraying fluid into it i would think you got a air/vacume leak somewhere,  i would look at the air intake tube first,  they get splits/cracks in them and the car just wont run, the mass airflow sensor has to read the correct amount air to adjust fuel.  check that out and let me know
