Question

Sir my question is,
how to check starter & starter relay. (weather there is a power or no and which auto electrical voltmeter should i use to check it) can you please also suggest any website where you can learn about auto electric and electrical troubleshooting.

thank you so much!

Answer
Hi Asif,
I like a Fluke, but any analog or digital meter will work to check for that power, as well as a test light.
Test light would be easiest.
To check the starter, you can jump across the terminals with a screwdriver, from the battery cable terminal, to the small terminal that connects to the switch.
If the starter engages and cranks, it is good, and the problem is back in the wires or switches.
If it just clicks, or nothing, be sure the battery cable is good. Then pull the starter off and have it bench tested.
