Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Eclipse 1998 GSX wont hit red line, mitsubishi eclipse, temp gauge

Question
My car was running great a few month ago until I don't know what happen to it. When I start the engine the turbo gauge went up a little like it's kicking in. Then I decide to take it for a test drive if it's ok. I put it in first gear and drove off. When the rpm reach 2000 the turbo kick in. Once it reach 3000 rpm the below off valve seem to be going off crazy and the car is shacking like it's going to die on me. So I change gear, it still doing the same thing. On gear 3, I decide to red line it. I slam the gas padel, nothing happen, the rpm slowly raise up from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm and the turbo start kicking in like crazy again. Then something when I'm on a stop sign, I change gear, it's stuck even thou I step on the clucth pedal. Also check my gauge, one of them is dead or stuck 2/3 of the way. I think it was the temp. gauge. Can you help me? I don't know what is wrong with it.

Answer
Pal:You sound like you have a lot of different problems going with this car. I think you need to take it to a shop have them look it over and then let you know what they think. It is very hard for me to decide what is going on with it. Without first looking at it and driving it. I have to be honest here, I have not worked a lot of turbos and so I am not sure what is going on. But a shop would. Hope this helps and good luck!
