Answer
Steve,
You'll first want to check the areas you can easily get to and see.  Make sure you have enough clutch fluid in the reservoir. Next, check to be sure your shift cables are attached to your transmission.  There should be two cables; a select cable and a shift cable. With the engine off, take a look uner the hood down at the tranny while someone else sits in your car and moves the shifter.  Make sure you can see the cables moving the levers.

If you remove the shift knob boot, you should be able to see where the shifter cables connect the to shift knob.  Make sure those are connected.  Be sure to also check your transmission fluid level.  This isn't that easy since you will have to remove your fill plug in order to see if there is fluid in your transmission.

But if you cannot visible see any signs where your problem might be, you may have some internal problems.  This could be anything from a worn pressure plate, broke shift fork, or damaged synchronizers.  These items rarely go bad in a car that's only a couple years old, unless you're pretty hard on your tranny (popping the clutch, riding the clutch, drag racing, etc.).

Your car came with a 5 year/60,0000 mile Drivetrain warranty.  So, if you have not gone over that 60,000 mile point, you may be eligiable for a free fix.  Get your car over to your local dealership and see if this will be a free fix.
Good luck!
