Motorcycle Repair: Starting up problem, yamaha dt230, vent line

Hi J. I've got a Yamaha DT230 two stroke 2003 dirt bike, Don't use it often may be once a week, Now and again it will start then just cuts out when I accelerate it, this started happening two weeks ago,hadn't ridden it since,

Try this
Replace the spark plug ( new )check your manual or local dealer for proper plug ( yes it will make a difference )
Check the vent line to the tank make sure it is clear
Disconnect gas line from carb and check for good gas flow.
Drain and replace gas,add stable to gas in tank and gas can.
Clean or replace air cleaner element and clean air box.
Use ONLY the recommended oil NOTHING from WALMart ect.

As a last resort a good carb cleaning is in order.
