QUESTION: Ok,I took my gas tank off and cleaned my carbs,Now i cant tell what is the correct idle for it.
Is there a certain amount of turn that i can do or what? thanks so much.being a lady and trying to get my bike ready to ride soon.

ANSWER: A good idle speed in general would be 900 to 1000 RPM on your tack.

QUESTION: Ok im a lady and im not so sure what your talking about,I dont have a tactometer on my bike,just the rate of speed that i go..

With out a tack it is very hard to tell what the engine is idleing at.
Try this,start the engine and let it worm up.Turn the idle down until the engine stumbles (almost stops running)now turn the idle up until the the engine is running smothley.Sit on the bike and pull in the clutch and put it in 1st gear.If it stalls turn idle up a little.Repeat this process until the bike will set an idle in gear without stalling.
consult your local motorcycle shop for proper setting.
