QuestionI have 1979 kawasaki kx250, my question is about the pilot air screw and how to set them and the other fuel screw. I need to find out the factory settings can you help or send me to a place i can get help? Thanks so much Floyd
AnswerFloyd,
the settings are not that critical for the
air screw. Start with it between 1.5 and
2 turns out. With the engine warmed up
try turning it in or out until
you get the fastest or smoothest idle.
-The factory setting is only a starting
place, the adjustment still needs to
be made to suit the elevation of the
area you live in.
-the idle can also be adjusted for your
own riding tastes, around 1200 rpm should do.
