Motorcycle Repair: Transmission and Primary Drive Train Oil change, train oil, plug drain

I own a 2003 Road King Police model. How do you change the oil in the transmission and primary drive train? How many quarts of oil do you need to add for optimal performance to each?

Answer
To change the oil in the primary, look at the rear of the pirmary cover close to the bottom and you will see a drain plug. Drain the oil, and withe the bike sitting upright, fill at the rear derby cover, just to the bottom of the lip.
On the trans, locate the drain plug under the bike and drain the oil. Fill the trans, with the bike sitting upright, until it is on the full mark of the dipstick.
the primary will take about 1.5 quarts, the trans will take a little less thatn a quart
