Motorcycle Repair: engine, intermediate jet, air cleaner

I just bought a 1993 fatboy with 12,000 mile is stock other than vh pipes and air claener it wants to spit back through the carb once in a while.I pulled the air cleaner off and had some oil around the breather holes and one hole was pushing more air out than the other one is this normal? It seems to run good I got a dyno print sheet when I bought it had about the same hp, the plugs seem to be rich (black)let me know your thoughts thanks face

you never stated if the black plugs are sooty or oily. If they are sooty, then you are running a little rich and that might be causing your problem. Spitting back is a sign of running rich. I would go one size smaller on the intermediate jet and see if that helps.
