Motorcycle Repair: fuel running out of air filter housing, honda 750, float valves


Question
I have a 76 Honda 750 Super sport.the problem is
I got this bike from a friend he said on thu. it was running and on sat. he brought it to my house on a trailer because he lives 86 miles away but when I tried to start it I got nothing.And I flooded it.I emptied all the bowls to start over but now evrytime I turn the gas on it almost instantly starts to run out the overflow tubes and the air filter housing any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated my e-mail

Hi Mike,

The problem may be the resulte of varnished fuel in the carburetors.

Other possibile causes:

Worn or varnished needle valves/seats (float valves)
Split float bowl over flow pipes
Incorrect float heights
