Nissan Repair: Service engine soon (SES) - Oxygen sensor, nissan altima, oxygen sensor

Question
Hi,

I brought my Nissan Altima GXE 2000 to one mechanic due to the SES light on, and he found out this SES was caused by Rear Oxygen sensor and thermostat.  The code are P0325 (knock sensor error) and P0128 (thermostat-if I am not mistaken). He said it could be an oxygen sensor. Do you think it is the problem? Please advise.

Thanks,

Michael

Answer
Hi Michael -\

P0325 is knock sensor bank 1 which is passenger side
P0128 is thermostat regulating temp below normal

Obviously I doubt if it is the O2 sensor. Are you having problems with car performance? If not clear the codes and see if it returns. Clear it by removing the computer fuse for 10 seconds then replace.

Let me know how it goes -
