Nissan Repair: 1976 datsun pickup, datsun nissan, datsun pickup

My son recently bought a 1976 datsun nissan pickup and the speedometer doesnt work. Also the brights dont work and the left tailight. He paid 300 dollars for it and has a 5 month old son to take care of so he cant really afford a mechanic. Any suggestions on how to fix these problems? The brakes also need bled.Is that hard to do? I know these are a lot of questions...thank you for your time. Val

rockauto.com is the most cost effective source for parts.

The speedometer is probably a cable replacement.  I do not know if he can source one from the internet so he might be looking at a wrecking yard for a cable.

The high beam headlights is probably due to the headlight switch.

The left tail light is a socket that needs to be cleaned or replaced.
