Nissan Repair: Quest/Villager Climate Control, climate control unit, automatic climate control

Hi Calvin:

Thank you for your willingness to help others! My 2000 Villager automatic climate control unit (when setting temp at 76 degree) will blow warm/hot air when car is first started. After the car warms up the vent will only blow "cold air". I will need to set the temp. to 90 degree in order to get hot air out of vent. Can you advise what might be wrong?

Hi Kai -

I am thinking this is the heater control valve. Open the hood and follow the heater hose from the firewall. You should find the contrl valve in line with one of the hoses. Should have a vacuum line and/or a electrical connection to it. Replace that and you should be fine.
