Nissan Repair: 2003 G35 Coupe headlamp assembly removal, inner fender, headlight assembly

I have seen now, three different variations of instructions on how to remove the headlight assembly on my 2003 G35 coupe. Of course all three have different methods. One says to remove the front tire on that side and the inner fender covering in order to do it. One says everything can be accessed from under the hood and through the grill. Can you tell the real method? Have you removed one before?

When the Maxima came out with HID lights they were getting stolen like crazy.  Nissan was portrayed as the bad guy.  So, on future models like the G35 the HID bulb is accessed from underneath.  Yes, the tire has to come off as does the inner fender well to get access.  This holds true for the bulbs as well as the headligth assembly.
