Nissan Repair: 1990 nissan 300Z, work windows, windows work

Question
My 1990 300Z Turbo coupe has been sitting for almost a year. I started it for the first time yesterday and the car will start but the gauges wont work, neither will it drive. I can shift it from park to drive but nothing will happen, same if I shift it to reverse, nothing, All fuses work, windows work, headlights will come on but wont flip up, cd player does not cut on. Could you please help me. I would muchly appreciate it. Thanks rob

Answer
Rob,

First, the transmission fluid is probably low and needs to be topped off or even changed after sitting for so long.  The ignition runs relays and my bet is there is one or more relays or fuses that are blown or stuck.  I would check the master fuse links at the positive battery cable first to make sure they are good as that is usually the first place that blows.
