Nissan Repair: TRANSMISSION 95 NISSAN PICK-UP, shaft bearing, input shaft

HI,I HAVE A 95 PICK UP W/MAN.TRANS,5 SPD...I BELIEVE MY BEARINGS ARE BAD(SAME AS THE GUY WITH A 95 YOU JUST ANSWERED)ANYWAY I WAS GOING TOI JUST REPLACE THE WHOLE TRANS AND CLUTCH AND GET SOMEONE TO PUT IT IN.MY QUESTION IS THIS...WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET THE TRANS,JUNK YARDS AROUND HERE HAVE NONE{RICH,VA)I FOUND ONE FOR 400+125 FOR SHIPPING{I GUESS NO GUARENTEE}..MY MAIN QUESTION IS WHAT TRANS WILL WORK IN THIS TRUCK?MAYBE A DATSUN?OR HOW ABOUT SOME NISSAN PASSENGER CARS?I SEE SOME WEB SIGHTS MATCH TRANS WITH VIN #S....HOW IS THAT SO?SORRY SO LONG,THANX FOR ANY INFO,WAYNE JARMAN{TRUCK IS AN XE 4X2 REG CAB 2.4 ENGINE}

You need transmission from similar years for your Nissan truck.  Wrecking yards have the interchange catalog.  I would do a search on the internet to get one and have it shipped.  If they will not warranty the unit keep looking until you find one that does.  You could just replace your input shaft bearing and output shaft bearing if yours works fine and all you have is noise.  You will need a press to do that and you are looking at about $100 bucks in bearings and a tube of gasket sealer along with an input shaft seal and the driveshaft yoke seal.  Since yours is a two wheel drive you should be in luck since they made so many of them.
