Nissan Repair: Instrument Cluster, instrument cluster, 2005 pathfinder

2005 Pathfinder SE  had instrument cluster replaced August 07 Nissan claim was aftermarket radio which was in the car since I bought 05 shorted the instrument cluster. Had new aftermarket radio installed  a month ago all is good tooke the car to have the radio replaced yesterday dashlights and gear lights are not working again is this a defect in the instrumnet panel or the work of installation gone bad.

I do not think the installation was the problem with the original cluster.  The new install is the problem with the dash and gear lights.  I would take it back and have them reqire the light to the appropriate wire to get the lights working again.  The proper wire for illumination of the radio, at the radio, should be a red/white wire.  Take it back and let them know what they need to do to correct the problem.  Nissan uses a floating ground at the radio and it causes problems if a radio is wired incorrectly.
