Nissan Repair: airbag light flashing all the time, controller area network, nissan almera

My car's (nissan almera se 2005) airbag warning light flashing all the time. Is it a fault of airbag system? if then how can i rectify it,
may i know the reason why its flashing all the time, i never removed or repaired the airbag system.

If the airbag light flashes all the time there is a problem in the system.  It runs on a controller area network much like an old token ring network of computers.  Well, when one of the components does not broadcast its health to the computer the system sets a code and then the airbag light flashes.  So, take it in as it still should be under warranty.  Mine was a side airbag that failed and the dealer replaced it for free.  Airbag code readers are really expensive due to the liabilities involved so only dealers and high end shops can afford the readers.
