Nissan Repair: blown head gasket, blown head gasket, head bolts

Question
The check engine light came on and I took it to
the dealership. I just got a call from the
service tech and was told the head gasket was
blown. I have a 05 sentra with only 20K miles
on it. Is this a common problem with this vehicle?
The temp gauge never indicated the engine was over
heating.
I bought the vehicle new and always do the
required maintenence.
Does this vehicle have two thermostats that
have two different opening temperatures?

Answer
Ed,

This is a warranty item and should be covered.  if the headgasket blew at this mileage it is probably a defective headgasket or that the head bolts were not properly torqued from the factory.  It should be as good as new once repaired.  No, there should be only one thermostat in the upper, return, hose to the radiator.
