Nissan Repair: High idle speed on 1995 Maxima, air control valve, throttle plate

Question
The car sometimes hesitates on acceleration and the idle speed is around 1300 rpm after driving. No trouble codes are showing up. I have cleaned the throttle plate area of the throttle body but have not taken the throttle body off the engine. I have adjusted the idle rpm after disconnecting the idle position sensor. Not sure what to try next.

I would check the manifold absolute pressure sensor and see if this is the problem.  The idle air control gets information from this sensor and if the MAP is defective then that would be the problem.  If the idle air control valve is defective then it would stick and that would cause the high idle.
